Day 2

Yesterday´s drive was long & slow, but filled with softly rolling smoky mountains. We drove parallel to the Skyline drive, to get to Knoxville a little faster, leaving the scenic route for anotherr day. High contrast between the cows munching spring grasses and exits closed by a tornado that went thru last week, leveling motels, homes & cars. Today we´ll have to detour around the Arkansas flooding to Little Rock. We´ll tell you how that goes...
Ayer manejé 4 hs. con piloto automático a 60 millas/h en medio de un paisaje bello, verde, de muchos parques nacionales en Virginia, alternados con granjas de vacas lecheras. entramos en Tennessee y la radio nos indicaba el nuevo paisaje de música country, con mucho banjo. El paisaje por delante anticipa un día largo y el objetivo de cruzar el río Mississippi y sortear las inundaciones.
