Day 18

There were 95 people trying for the 10 spots at The Wave today & as you can tell by the photos above, we didn't make it, so we went to Bryce. This park hadn't been on our list, originally, but I'm SO glad we went. It's like taking all the most fabulous cathedrals you've ever seen, adding them to all the sandcastles ever built, and striping them with brilliant shades of reds & beiges. I had a great hike on the Rim trail, and hope the next time that we can go down into the Hoodoos. Another place, like Newspaper Rock, where the more you look, the more you see: mesmerizing, and very spiritual. We planned to drive from here to Jackson Hole, but only made it half way because there were a lot of interesting distractions along the way, and also because it's FAR. So here we are in Provo, tummies full of Indian food, and ready for a good night's sleep before we head to the Tetons on the morning of the 24th.
